Congratulations, Uncle Ben!
Last weekend we spent three days in Little Rock to attend and celebrate Uncle Ben's graduation from medical school. As I briefly mentioned before, Caroline slept better those nights in the hotel than she ever does at home. Thomas thinks she needs a window air conditioner unit in her bedroom (like the one in our hotel)--I am looking into sleep sound machines for a cheaper, smaller alternative.
We really enjoyed getting to meet more of the family! Aunt Laura from Alaska held Caroline before the ceremony began. Just as the students were to make their processional down the aisle, Caroline decided to spit-up. Luckily, Laura had handed her back to me before the incident. We made it out of the room before interrupting the program.
Grandma Tracy bought this amazing, edible fruit arrangement for the family's brunch. I thought it was so beautiful, I had to include it in this post.

So much to say, so little time...
We have had so many firsts, yet I do not have time to document them all! We'll start with our first rice cereal experience. This occurred a few weeks before the recommended 4 month birthday out of desperation for a full night's sleep for Mom and Dad. I was told to try the bowl and spoon approach, but you can clearly see from the picture that it was an unpleasant experience. We soon scrapped that and poured it into a bottle. She seemed to like that well enough. So far she seems to be sleeping a little better with a milk and rice cereal better before bedtime. Actually, though, we had our best sleep ever while at our first hotel experience this past weekend (We'll save that adventure for a future post!) Since I am back at work, you (assuming I have readers out there), will have to be patient with my infrequent posts. Only 2 weeks until summer vacation...

Caroline Laughs (with video evidence!)
Caroline's first laugh
I have heard Caroline giggle and coo, but we could not believe the belly laughs that happened last Saturday (before her 3 month birthday!) I grabbed the video camera and recorded her daddy being so silly that she had to laugh hard. Grammy and I watched it happen and later commented that it hurt us because it was so cute. It literally hurt my chest and made me cry because I was so happy watching her and seeing how adorable it was. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did! (Thanks to Daddy Thomas for helping me upload and edit the video!)

Chilly Easter
I made it...
This past Monday I went back to teaching kindergarten. I have to admit it was pretty tough. The only reason I could do it is because Caroline's Grammy was watching her (and her best friend Aly Claire.) Grammy's the next best thing to me being there!
I was glad to see my students, they have grown so much, but I am also counting down the days until summer break!
